Local historian and author, Frank Tomaino grew up in East Utica, he shared a brief history of the area with us. You can learn more about the history of Utica at the Oneida County Historical Society at 1608 Genesee Street in Utica

Rufie and Marie Ventura opened Ventura's Restaurant in 1943. Their Grandchildren, Nina and RJ grew up in the restaurant and now work with their father at Ventura's at 787 Lansing in Utica.
