You can't help but sense the importance of tradition and friendship when you visit East Utica. We were invited to the weekly gathering of the Proctor Boys. They meet each week over coffee to discuss everything from politics to the first spring robin sighting. Although they get together for fun and friendship, they also do good things for the community, like raising money for important causes.
Carmen and Catherine Caruso opened Caffe Caruso on Bleecker Street nearly 50 years ago, but the pastries and atmospere are the same. People of all generations come from many miles for their delicious pastries.

In 1924, brothers Pat and John DeIorio started a company that made Italian breads and rolls. Today, the company ships frozen dough products all over the country.

Founded in 1943 by the Grimaldi family, Grimaldi’s Restaurant is owned and operated by the Castronovo family who acquired the restaurant in 1989.
Pasquale Chiricosta has served the establishment as Executive Chef for 30 years.
Richard meets a regular, Sal, who has been coming to Grimaldi's nearly every day since 1943.
