The Boonville Pool is a pretty little beach that is  free and open to the public with lifeguard monitored beach. Erwin Park is open daily from 8am to 9:30pm. It is located on Rt. 12 in Boonville.
The beach near Trail's End at Hinckley Reservior was known as Beer Can Beach, today it is a popular place for families for swimming, fishing, boating and waterskiing.
Overlooking the dunes at Trail's End Campground, Richard reminisces about visiting the beach in his green convertible with his soon-to-be wife. He demonstrates, with a soda can, what was a feat of strength back when cans were made of steel. You can swim and launch your boat at Trail's End Campground, the cost is $7 for parking for the day.

Malio Cardarelli tells us about the tradition of hanging a wreath on the door inviting mourners to come pay respect to a deceased family member. This tradition ended in the mid 50's/early 60's.
