The company's acclaimed Alice Busch Opera Theater opened in June 1987. It is located along the shores of Otsego Lake, the "Glimmerglass" of James Fenimore Cooper's Leather-Stocking Tales.
The intimate 900-seat theatre makes Glimmerglass Opera especially appealing to opera-goers.
