Baker's Beach is located on the Northwest shore of Canadarago Lake just south of Richfield Springs on Rt 28. It is a great place to launch a boat or go swimming and fishing. Be sure to bring your water sandels.
Adirondack Reader
Reggie Chambers opened a bookstore in her family's renovated gas station in Inlet. The Adirondack Reader is open year 'round and offers an extensive selection of Adirondack books
Jeannette's studio overlooks Van Hornesville. Her work is concerned with movement. Horizons, flocking birds, weather systems and waterfalls give way to rocky crags, twilight and whirlpools -metaphors for the mental states of the human mind. You can take a Painting I or Art Appreciation class with Jeanette at HCCC.
Glimmerglass State Park located on Otsego Lake has a beautiful swimming area and bath house. You can see a covered bridge and historic Hyde Hall on you visit. The Glimmerglass Cafe is operated by Danny's Main Street Market out of Cooperstown. The Market is know for fresh baked bread and fresh brewed coffee.
There is still a place where shop owners know their customer by name. The Star Bakery bakes to their customers' taste. Robert Marshall, Sr. and his sons, Paul and Robert, Jr. operate the bakery at 1212 Catherine St. in East Utica.

Thank you for your help. We recieved many phone calls, emails and letters with information about Black Creek Reservoir. It no longer exists. We learned that the dam was dismantled 3 years ago, but that the area is still beautiful.
