For decades,
Joe Graziano
has enter-
tained radio
listeners
throughout
the Mohawk
Valley with
his memories of growing up Italian in East Utica. He has just made a new CD "The Joy of Growing Up Italian" to raise money for the Sons of Italy Youth Scholarships. You can pick one up today at the Annual Feast on Bleecker St. at the Sons of Italy. Listen to Joe every Sunday from noon to 2pm on 1310AM WTLB
A great way to spend a Sunday afternoon is driving around New Hartford to see the beautiful homes. There are new constructions and many old ones getting face-lifts. At 1 Sherman Circle, the Pratt Mansion is getting a major restoration. Bob Donnelly is a Utica native who has brought his family from the West Coast to live in what his wife, Alice , believes to be the most beautiful house -or at least it will be when they are finished bringing it back to its original splendor. The mansion was built from stone brought from Ireland in 1890 and took 10 years to complete. It has 9
bedrooms, 9 baths and 7 fire-
places. We will return during
the holidays to see the result
of all the hard work.

New Hartford Shopping Center Celebrates 50 Years
Celebrating 50 years this year, the New Hartford Shopping Center is filled with family-owned businesses.
From stone carved gutters to ornate door frames and mantels, the Pratt mansion will be restored to its original splendor by the Donnelley family. They invited us back during the holidays to see the finished result.
A. Vitullo
has been keeping Mohawk Valley men well dressed for nearly a century.  Augustino Vitullo brought his tailoring skills from Italy and opened his tailor shop in 1914. His son, Anthony joined the business when he returned from WWII, and now the
popular men's clothing
shop is operated by
3rd generation,
Ronald Vitullo.
Pumpernickel's N.Y. Deli
Phil Amodio knows good food and his delicatessen is a bit of Manhattan right in the Center Court of the New Hartford Shopping Center. The restaurant is filled with Broadway memorabilia and is worth a visit just for the atmosphere -but just try to resist the fresh deli sandwiches or homemade desserts!

Farms of New Hartford
Many of the early farms of New Hartford have given way to progress, but some still remain like the 215-year-old  Smith Homestead Farm. Local historian, Barb Couture, recognized the importance of documenting these
historic buildings and has published two
books on the subject, available at the
New Hartford Historical Society and at
Park Row Books in Clinton.
On the eve of the NYS Woodsmen's Field Days, we travel to Boonville to meet the artist who carves the trophies for the event each year. We find that he does much more than that. He is quite prolific and has created work for three presidents, the Osmonds, Dolly Parton, and Disney.

Ferris Studios is having an Open House during the NYS Woodsmen's Field Days.
Friday and Saturday 10-8pm
Sunday 10-6pm.
