Spring is an exciting time. We love digging in the dirt and planting, and seeing our perennials reappear like old friends. Of course, visiting a farm always puts into perspective the amount of work required to grow large amounts of food. We often take for granted the produce at the local market. God bless the farmer!
Thanks for traveling with us,

When Malio told us he wanted to film on the corner of Charlotte and Elizabeth Streets in East Utica, we thought it was strange -we'd been by that intersection dozens of times and it was just a parking lot. But to those who lived in Utica in the late 1800s, this intersection was the center of entertainment -Utica's beautiful library. It was considered the grandest in the country. But due to its popularity it became too crowded and the building that was built to last 100 years only served as library for less than 30.

In the early 1700s, German people from the region known as Palatinate suffered under warfare and the collapse of their agricultural base. They fled their homeland and traveled to the New World. Their journey was arduous, but their exodus
finally ended in the Mohawk River Valley. These early
families and their descendants changed the Mohawk
Valley from a frontier to one of the most productive in
New York. Find Out More here:
