Exploring the arts, entertainment
and heritage of our region.
The
Scene
Weekly
with Mark Werchowski
Autumn is harvest time in the Mohawk Valley. We tour the communities along the Erie Canal that was once the transportation super highway of the region.
Some of the busiest worker this time of year are the honey bees. The wild aster and goldenrod are in bloom and the bees are busy harvesting the last crops of the season to make their sweet golden treat.
Thanks for traveling with us,
Lance and Sharry

Vincent Manufacturing Co.
During the 18th and 19th centuries, many mills sprang up around the Mohawk River in Little Falls. The area originally grew out of the major trading area that developed at the carrying place around the falls at this part of the river. Today, Vincent Manufacturing carries on a 100-year-old business that hasn't changed much at all since the 19th century. Since 1895 they have supplied the bedding and furniture industry with cotton batting. The original "recycler, " all of their raw material comes from spinning mills in the south and now also includes organic and natural fibers.
You can find natural & organic bedding made from batting from Vincent Manufacturing at White Lotus Home. Available locally at The Shops at 25 West in Little Falls
